Lori Wheat PT, DPT, OCS
Lori L. Wheat is a 1993 physical therapy graduate of Louisiana State University-School of Allied Health Professionals in Shreveport, Louisiana, and she received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Boston University in January, 2010. She has practiced physical therapy for over 27 years.
Lori has been a Diplomat of the American Board of Certified Orthopedic Specialists (OCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties since 2001. She maintains active memberships in the American Physical Therapy Association, the Louisiana Physical Therapy Association, the American Diabetes Association, and has attained her Pilates Certification through PHI (Powerhouse Institute) Pilates, a rehabilitation-based Pilates company. Lori serves on the Advisory Board for the Northwestern State University, Department of Health and Human Performance.
Lori specializes in lower extremity bio-mechanics, running/ankle-foot injuries, diabetic foot complications/wounds and off-loading principles, postural and movement impairment syndromes of the spine, shoulder girdle, hip/knee, ankle/foot and other orthopedic impairments; also, bone-building strategies for osteopenia/osteoporosis, and scoliosis.
