Pilates

As part of our mission to offer client specific, evidence based physical therapy… for lifelong wellness, we would like to share another effective approach to wellness and rehabilitation. Pilates- Based Rehabilitation is a form of rehab that re-introduces movement utilizing deep, core muscles with joint-sparing forces early in the rehabilitation process. This type of rehab is conducive to helping with general orthopedics, geriatrics, chronic pain, balance deficits, neurological rehab and much more. Many would suggest that providing a positive movement experience without pain might be the single greatest contributing factor to a successful outcome in patients. A positive outcome signifies a return to activities that were previously limited due to injury or a disease process.

The Pilates method has been in fitness and rehabilitation for over 15 years. This method was designed to promote posture and functional strength with amazing results. Wheat Physical Therapy offers Pilates Mat, ExoChair and Reformer sessions in a one-on-one or semi-private environment. We are pleased to offer this experience to clients returning from an injury and rehab, or clients interested in beginning a new wellness program. Our clients receive personal attention to help achieve their goals, as well as stimulate circulation, blood oxygenation and boost the immune system. This method produces individualized results for specific needs.

In ten sessions you’ll feel the difference, in twenty you’ll see the difference, and in thirty you’ll have a new body. Joseph Pilates
